I'm sure many of you reading this are in the early stages of your journey and wondering how the heck you're going to get through a weekend of not drinking.
Some tips for you.
π₯ Plan. What are your plans this weekend? Any potential triggering situations? If so, assess if it's really worth it to go. What are you going to do in your downtime when you'd normally be sitting on the couch downing a bottle of wine?
π₯ Stock up on all your favorite seltzers or NA beverages. Put it in a fancy glass with some fruit, and you're good to go!
π₯ Set the intention that NO MATTER WHAT you will not drink this weekend. No wishy-washy thinking because then your left going back and forth and trying to talk yourself out of not drinking.
π₯ Focus on how you're going to FEEL on Monday.
π₯ Take it one minute or one hour at a time if you need to. Small increments of time are always the easiest way to make it through an urge or craving.
